The paperwork your agency receives is signed by a California-licensed physician. This page explains what the physician reviews. It shows how the review works when the doctor and the worker never meet. It also shows how to check every claim yourself.

California-licensed physicians order each test and sign each file. A physician signature is our standard for every finished file.
What the physician reviews before signing
The laboratory result
The QuantiFERON result reported by Quest. The report names the performing laboratory. It also shows the CLIA number.
The worker's health form
The short form the worker completes when the file starts. It gives the physician the context for the review.
Then — and only then — the signature
If anything is unclear or missing, the physician does not sign. We go back to the worker first.
How can a doctor assess a worker they never see?
By reviewing the two documents above. The same California physician who orders the test does the review. The physician reads the worker's health form and the Quest result. For most files, that is what the review needs. Most workers do not need a separate video or office visit with the doctor.
Sometimes the physician does need more. It may be an answer to a question, a call, or a visit. When that happens, the worker is told exactly what comes next. The file waits until the physician is satisfied.
Licensed providers make clinical decisions. Your agency makes the final hiring and document-acceptance decision.

The result names the performing laboratory and its CLIA number. That number belongs to the laboratory. It does not belong to us.
