Frequently asked questions

HCO serviceWhat is the HCO service?
One Quest appointment for a QuantiFERON TB blood test, California physician sign-off and one finished TB file in the dashboard.
HHA serviceWhat is the HHA service?
An online health-and-duty intake, a QuantiFERON TB blood test at Quest when needed, California physician sign-off and one completed health file for direct-patient-contact staff.
HHA serviceCan you use our agency's own health assessment form?
Tell us which form your agency uses. We review it during the walkthrough and confirm how the pilot will return the finished file. If your agency does not have a form, we use a California-compliant assessment.
HCO serviceHow fast is the file ready?
When the required intake is complete and the result is negative, the Quest result and signed paperwork are placed in the dashboard together within 48 hours of the Quest visit.
HCO serviceDoes the worker need a separate physician appointment?
Most workers do not need a separate video or office visit with the doctor. The California ordering physician reviews the intake and result and signs the certificate or assessment.
DocumentsWho signs the paperwork?
A California-licensed physician reviews the Quest laboratory result and the worker's health form, then signs. The clinical program is led by Dr. Pavani Gunda, Global Chief Medical Officer. How clinical decisions are made: https://www.cleartostart.com/clinical-governance.
HCO serviceDoes the worker pay anything?
No. The worker pays $0.
PricingWhen is the agency invoiced?
Only after the completed file signed by a California doctor is in the dashboard. If an agreed pilot document is missing, ClearToStart corrects the file before invoicing.
DocumentsHow is the file delivered?
Multiple authorized users receive an email notification and sign in to the secure dashboard. The clinical result is not placed in the notification email.
HCO serviceWhat happens if the result is positive?
ClearToStart engages the worker and arranges the required chest X-ray, looking first for a convenient free public-health resource. Any paid-imaging cost is disclosed before scheduling.
HCO serviceCan the dashboard track renewals?
Yes. It records testing dates and can automatically remind and engage workers when an update is due.
DocumentsCan workers register by QR code or link?
Yes. The agency may send a registration link or QR code directly to workers.
HHA serviceCan ClearToStart help with flu shots?
Yes. The system can send workers an SMS directing them to a Walgreens appointment, collect the vaccination record and follow up on missing documentation. This is scoped separately.
DocumentsCan I see a specimen?
Yes. Synthetic HCO and HHA finished-file specimens are available on the What You Receive page.
Agency decision rightsWho makes the final decision?
Licensed providers make clinical decisions. The agency decides whether to accept the file and hire the worker.
